Hi all,

Still feeling woozy, but not sure why.

I've been plugging away at my PS Christmas Village since my SanMan March SAL is completed.

It is really pleasing to work on. It's going to take quite a bit of DMC 520. I've ordered some, but they have it on Backorder... so I'll stitch other things until I receive it.

It's been raining here for the past 2 days and both Otey and I are feeling it "in our bones." Owie! LOL. The soft hills are turning greener with Mother Nature's watering and I am reminded of why I love it so much here. Seeing all the farms, cows and horses. It's peace and contentment.

My mom is progressing. They say she'll be out of the nursing home in 3 weeks, but it will take her 6 months before she will be able to walk without assistance (walker or cane). When she goes home, my sister in Florida is going to stay with her for a week. I'm glad she will be able to because I sure can't. I just can't do all the things I used to for myself, let alone take care of someone else. That makes me sad.

Well, that's it for now. Thank you for stopping by.

love, hugs and prayers,
Cathryn

Well, I finished this month's SanMan SAL.

I decided to leave it just as it is even though it is off center a little.

I talked to my step-mother this morning a little. They are sending her to a nursing home for a few weeks to get her up and walking with a walker and such before they send her home. I guess they decided it would be for the best. I'm kind of glad cause I know that Dad would expect too much of her. This way she can get a head start with healing and resting and people waiting on her. She sounded in really good spirits, but then she always is even if she's down so you really can't tell. That's just her.

Well, I'm off to fix iced tea for DH do a few things then work on some other cross stitching probably my Prairie Schooler Christmas Village because I haven't been able to work on that for a while.

Take care of yourself, Cathryn.

Another Saturday.... :)

Here is a pic of my SanMan SAL so far:

Somehow I started off center so the piece is further left of center than I would like. I'll have to figure out what I want to do with it. I'm not a frogger once I get this far; especially with an afghan. Ripping it out might ruin the material.
Sigh. We'll see.
Have a terrific weekend.

What a Saturday. We just had to put down my dog, Morgan. Bless her heart. She had a huge tumor on her liver which ruptured and she was full of blood. I am just heartsick. She was the only one of the dogs that was truly mine. She trusted me and followed me around and I feel like I let her down.

My heart is so broken.

Very Early. My teeth are bothering me so I've taken some acetamenophin and can't go to bed for a while.

I'm currently back working on my year long SanMan Christmas stitch along (SAL) on my afghan so the dozen will have to wait for a while. I really enjoy working on the afghan and will give an update pic when I can.

My chocolate lab, Morgan had puppies. We didn't know she was even prenant. She hasn't been doing so well so we're going to have her spayed when this is done. DH says that if she isn't better tomorrow (today or tomorrow) he's going to take her to the vet. Sigh... always something. She's so pitiful. My heart is breaking for her. She never should have had puppies. Oh well, it happens.

Well, my prayers go out to all of you. We are all suffering at this time aren't we.

hugs and prayers, Cathryn
